HISTORY
Trans-Pacific Healthcare
Pty. Ltd. was established in 1988 as an importer and distributor
of medical products. The Company successfully introduced Danek into
Australia in 1989 which subsequently became Medtronic Sofamor Danek
(MSD). In the mid 1990’s MSD came into Australia in their
own right and in 2002 TPH and MSD parted company. Sales in 2002
exceeded A$10 million prior to termination of the Sales Agent Agreement
by Medtronic Australia Pty. Ltd. at the 1st September 2002. We still
continue to import some product lines as well as acting as Agents
for some others. Our sales territory covers Victoria and Tasmania
and we utilise a network of agents in the other states (New South
Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and New Zealand).
From 2001 to 2009, Trans-Pacific
Healthcare represented LMT Surgical in Victoria and Tasmania. Their
product line was focused and Hand and Upper Limb as well as Foot
& Ankle products. During this time, TPH built many relationships
with Orthopaedic and Plastic surgeons. In January 2009, LMT Surgical
took the Victorian and Tasmanian distribution in house.
In August 2009, TPH was
appointed the exclusive agent for Victoria and Tasmania by both
OPED AUSTRALIA and ORTHOPAEDIC SOLUTIONS.
OPED AUSTRALIA has the
exciting VACO line of Foot / Ankle and Hand Stabilisation products

ORTHOPAEDIC SOLUTIONS
has the very unique and special products for the hand & wrist
as well as for the Foot & Ankle. Their products include the
BioProfile Pyrocarbon range and Nexa range for the Foot & Ankle.

also represents a number of different companies on an agency basis
- Neurotherm and Arthrocare Australia (Inion). The company also
imports a number of product lines for distribution throughout Australia
and New Zealand. These product lines include - Epimed International,
Fehling Instruments, Buxton Instruments, Radiaxon X-Ray Gloves and
Flexipore wound dressing.
